My $170 Apartment in China: 13m² Small But Enough

Coconut chicken soup veggie mix ¥3.24 ($0.45, €0.42) I haven't cooked for the last week It’s about 13 square meters. Small… but enough for me so far Everything is in one space kitchen,living area ,bedroom ,bathroom ... Bottled water ×12 ¥18.78 ($2.63, €2.44) as you walk in this is my kitchen area I recently changed my cutting board this one looks like a much nicer This is a magnetic light I recently bought on Chinese Temu. $2 It’s very convenient… I really like it. My small pot has two heat levels. ($10) It’s just enough for one person.

And this bigger one is better for stir-frying. $20 I use a spray bottle for oil. And also just a normal pour bottle. Usually peanut oil or corn oil. this water filter I installed by myself Water filter ¥120 ($16.80, €15.60) the water here is only physically filtered I noticed a lot of residue in my kettle before that's when I realize the tap water isn't very clean this side is the filtered water this one is not I use it for washing dishes My green lunchbox $2 (€1.85, ¥14.30) I often cook and bring my own meal at work it feels healthier and

affordable... these are my basic seasonings salt Salt ,MSG and some chili I don't eat much spicy food my garlic has already started to grow when you live alone food sometimes lasts a long time I even still have half of a pack of instant noodles from 2 weeks ago This is where I store things in the kitchen. The weather recently has been very humid. I do have a rice cooker… but I don’t use it that much. I’m from northern China, so I prefer wheat-based food. Here are some bowls and random things. somehow… I never really tried to make it feel like home. I always thought — since I’m renting, maybe it’s not worth spending money on it. There’s always this feeling… like I might leave at any time. And I can’t take everything with me. So I kept things simple… maybe too simple. But recently, I’ve been thinking about changing that. maybe it’s time to make it feel like home...
