First thing in the morning: washing my face I wake up at 5:20 AM every single day My wife is still sleeping... First up making breakfast Mornings are always tight on time so I usually just steam or boil my food Today I'm doing steamed eggs and potatoes Super simple and nutritious I really love this little egg steamer It saves me so much time every day All done Doing a little reading to wake up my brain I mostly just read on my kindle nowadays Brushing my teeth Chinese guys don't really have much of a grooming routine Just wash the face, brush the teeth,
and shave and we're good to go (At most, just a quick hair fix) While breakfast is cooking, I start prepping my wife's lunch My wife said last night she wanted to eat light today so I'm steaming some chicken thighs and Pacific saury for her Packed with protein and Omega-3s Super nutritious and delicious Gotta thaw them out first Changing into my work clothes Fixing my hair Breakfast is ready Some leftover bread from yesterday Time to fuel up The chicken thighs and fish are thawed out now Lightly season the chicken thighs Then give the fish a good rinse
Protein and carbs are both super important 6:45 AM Time to wake up my lovely wife And she asked for just five more minutes in bed... Adding some greens to her lunch Veggie fiber is crucial, too She's finally up! While she's getting ready, I do the dishes Her lunch was ready too I packed it into an insulated lunch box And there's her lunch for the day Heading out to work Sunny day The Guangzhou metro is packed like sardines every single day Made it to the office Let's work! Lunchtime! Today I'm having some local Guangzhou specialties: Rice noodle rolls
and savory fried dough So delicious Back to work Quitting time! Packing up my stuff and heading out The weather was perfectly fine this morning, and now it's raining Guangzhou weather is so unpredictable Meeting up with my wife so we can walk home together, hand in hand This fire hydrant downstairs totally looks like a little robot Finally home First things first Throwing a load of laundry in the wash It's pretty late today, so we're skipping cooking Heading over to my in-laws' place for dinner instead After dinner Back home to get a workout I don't have
time to hit the gym so I pretty much work out at home every day Staying healthy is a top priority After workout Doing a quick cleanup I can't stand a dusty house The laundry's done too But since it's raining outside, I have to hang-dry everything indoors Staying hydrated is key, too Ordered some groceries online 30 minutes ago and there they are Online grocery delivery is insanely convenient I rarely go to the physical markets these days Time for a shower Is my hair getting too long? Maybe I should probably get a haircut this weekend Brushing my teeth
