Fujian Province It may look like a simple bowl of soup but the preparation is actually quite unique Fresh pork is mixed with sweet potato starch and repeatedly kneaded creating a tender and springy texture The soup is flavored with local rice vinegar yellow chili peppers cilantro, and seaweed giving it a refreshing slightly spicy, and tangy taste It is a popular choice for both breakfast and late-night snacks A hot bowl of Fuding meat slices is fresh flavorful and incredibly satisfying costing only about 2 dollars They even have Guo Bao Rou here a
classic traditional dish from Northeast China and one of the signature dishes of Northeastern cuisine What makes this dish special is its unique texture Thin slices of pork tenderloin are coated in starch batter and deep-fried until the outside becomes golden and crispy They are then quickly stir-fried with a specially prepared sweet and sour sauce allowing every piece to absorb the delicious flavor While the pork is being fried the cook prepares the sweet and sour sauce in another wok The ingredients are quite simple including white vinegar sugar

malatang a popular Chinese street food Besides a wide selection of meats it also offers a great variety of fresh vegetables and different kinds of tofu and other soy products The owner is cutting the slow-braised beef offal into bite-sized pieces A serving costs about 2 dollars I ordered a jianbing one of China’s most popular street breakfasts The basic version comes with an egg lettuce sweet bean sauce and a crispy wonton cracker all for just about 1 dollar It may look simple to make but spreading the batter into a thin even pancake and putting
everything together perfectly takes real skill and experience On a hot summer day nothing is more refreshing than a bowl of shaved ice This shop offers a variety of flavors including mango vanilla, and matcha and you can also choose your own toppings to create your favorite combination A generous bowl of shaved ice costs only about $2 making it the perfect treat to cool down on a summer day Sitting at a street food stall and enjoying your own selection of red oil skewers is such a fun experience The variety of street food here is incredible with
