The Xian Chongqing Highspeed Railway, abbreviated as the Xian Chongqing Highspeed Railway and also known as the Xian Chongqing Passenger Dedicated Line, is a high-speed railway connecting Xean in Shani Province Province and Chongqing City in China. It is located within the provinces of Sichuan Province, Chongqing Municipality and Shangshi with a total length of 739 km. It is constructed in two sections, Xian to Hong Kong and Hong Kong to Chongqing. It is designed for a speed of 350 kilometers per hour and is built to double track highspeed railway

standards. The entire line has 11 stations including Ancon West, Langao and Chunko. The total project investment is 123.722 billion yuan. It is constructed by the Beijing Kuning Highspeed Railway Shiku with a construction period of 6 years. In 2015, the Shien Chongqing highspeed railway was included in the planning and construction projects. In June 2021, the Shiong Kong section commenced construction. On January 6th, 2022, the National Development and Reform Commission approved the feasibility study report for the Anong Chongqing section of the Shien

Chongqing Highspeed Railway. On November 29th, the Ankong Chongqing section commenced construction. In 2023, the cumulative tunnel excavation for the fifth bit of the Yankan Chongqing section exceeded 1,000 meters. In 2024, the number two inclined shaft of the Guanmian Shan Tunnel was hauled through. In 2025, the main tunnel excavation mileage of the Guamian Shan Tunnel surpassed 6,000 m. In June, the Hangenbang tunnel was hauled through. On July 10th, the first box girder of the Chongqing section was successfully erected. In August, the breakthrough was

achieved between the entrance of the Guanmian Chan tunnel and the small mileage end of the number one inclined shaft. In March 2026, the four electric systems project for the Kong Chongqing section of the Shien Chongqing highspeed rail commenced. It is planned to be completed and open to traffic in 2028. On April 17th, the gerder erection for the Dhou Guangan section of the Shien Chongqing highspeed railway was completed. On May 16th, the main tunnel excavation from the entrance of the Huenshin tunnel exceeded the 5,000 meter mark. On June 13th, the

construction of the Konging Chongqing section of the Shien Chongqing highspeed railway entered the long rail storage phase. The Shien Chongqing highspeed railway is a crucial component of both the Baian Haiko passage and the Beijing Kunming Passage within the eight vertical and eight horizontal highspeed railway main corridors outlined in the medium and long-term railway network plan 2016 edition. It serves as a vital highspeed rail link connecting theqingu Chongqing economic circle to the Silk Road economic belt and the Beijing Tanzinha Bay coordinated

development region. It is also a significant high-speed rail channel for the coordinated development between the Yangze River economic belt and the ecological protection and highquality development of the Yellow River basin.
